Same building, two ways to eat. The kitchen builds handhelds to order until four. The market keeps selling fish and shellfish until six.
The Deli
Pastrami on rye, a proper Italian sub, and a grouper sandwich that came down from Siesta Key. Order it Beach Body, or order it NYC Style and bring a friend.
The Market
Local Gulf catch and cold-water imports in the case, shellfish by the pound, and a raw bar shucking oysters daily. We’ll clean it and wrap it how you want it.
Two guitars, Elvis twice, Sinatra doing it his way, and a street sign from Abbey Road. That wall is why the menu reads like a track listing — the Slim Shady, the Willie Nelson 420, Carlito’s Way, Seinfeld’s Big Salad, Raw Oysters Bourdain.
Most of them are named after somebody. We’re not going to tell you who — ask at the counter.
Eight miles west on Siesta Key, our sister shop has a wall too. Theirs is license plates.

Bring your own
Beer, wine, or booze — we don’t have a liquor license and we’re not fussed about it. Oysters and a cold one? Yes, it’s ok.
In the Bee Ridge shopping plaza, next to Southern Steer butcher shop. Look for the Southern Seafood sign over the door — that’s us.

Two counters, two clocks. Monday to Friday the kitchen stops making sandwiches at 4pm, but the market keeps selling fish until 6pm. On Saturday everything closes at 4pm.
Call ahead and have your order ready when you pick up.
Same family, different table
Happy Clams & Hams is part of the Big Water Fish Market and Restaurant Group out of Siesta Key — same buyers, same boats, same standards. Theirs is the great little seafood market on the key. Ours has a deli case and a Sinatra quote on the wall.
